We Lost a Good One
I am very sad to post that Mike Frade, Screen Name 34_40, passed away suddenly yesterday, April 4th, 2025, at home in New Mexico. Mike's wife Christine shared that Mike had come in from working in the yard and didn't look well, so she called 911, thinking that he might be having a stroke. The team arrived within 3 minutes and worked for 40 minutes before calling time of death. Mike had suffered heart attacks twice in the past, both resulting in stints being installed, so Chris was sure that his heart gave out.
Mike & Chris had just moved back to New Mexico about 6 months ago, after Chris had noticed that the house they had owned 20 or more years ago was on the market, like going home again. Mike came to visit me in the fall of 2014, and we spent several days running around doing "car guy" stuff and expanding to a face-to-face friendship. He had been looking forward to retirement for several years, and only got to enjoy 6 months of it, with a cross country move to boot. Rest in Peace, Mike. You were one of the best!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I did not know Mike very well, we exchanged some messages from time to time but from what I understand he was a very good man. I was sad to learn about thisSeth

Several years ago we did quite a good trip of USA, and on our trip we got to meet Mike and Christine Frade. We didn't stay long with them, but in that relatively short time we both gained a great opinion of both of them, as we Kiwis would say; 'Genuine good bastards.'
We're both genuinely upset to get this news, we've lost a good friend.
Our thoughts are with you and Chris.
