    Question Help on car movies

Need help with names of two car movies. I only remember a very little bit of each.

1st: The movie featured a 55 Chevy which was hidden under a football field. I also remeber it going through a car wash and the paint washing off to another color.

2nd: I only caught the end of this one which had I believe a mustang at the very end catching fire and burning to the ground after a race.

I know this isnt much to go on, but any help would be great!!

Two Lane Blacktop has James Taylor (Fire and Rain, Sweet Baby James) and Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys) in a primer-gray 55 Chevy racing across the US with Warren Oates in a GTO. I don't remember the football field scene, though.

Bullitt has Steve McQueen in a hopped up Mustang being chased by a black Charger that hits a gas station and blows. I don't remember the Mustang burning down.

It's been years since I've seen either movie.

Thanks for finding the first one. The last time I saw those movies was on tv about 10 years ago.

The second movie I do remeber it was a red mustang. I think it was a 69. I just caught the very end when it pulled away from a house and I believe the race may have taken place at an abondoned drag strip. I think in the end after the car burnt up the driver was talking to his little brother. Kinda like passing on the racing from older brother to younger. Its been so long.

    Thanks!!
