Hey John; Here's a storie for you about your colorado river.
Me and my big brother were in the boy scouts and went for a two week canoe trip down the colorado with our troop. My Brother and me were split up to go with a more experienced person, since neither one of us had canoed before. Since I was really to young to be in the boy scouts, they put me with this guy that had been in the scouts for 40 years and was about 58 years old. He was really a great guy, and taught me alot about canoing. Well they put my brother Kevin with a guy about his age that had a little experience. About a week in to the trip, my brother and his partner got in to trouble in some white water. Thier canoe sank with all my brothers and my camping gear in it. My brother and his partner were able to grab on to some bushes in the middle of the river, which was moving real fast there. So some of our troop leaders carried a canoe a little ways back up river. This way they could come back down and pluck my brother and his partner off the bushes. Well the plan went pretty good till they grabbed the first one of them and dropped them in the canoe. Too much weight I guess under went the second canoe. Now there was two boys and three scout leaders stuck on the bushes.
Now if we could flash to my parents home in Las Vegas who are watching a game on TV when a special report news break came on. The storie was about some Rangers trying to rescue some boy scouts off of the bushes in the middle of the colorado river.
Then they zoomed in on my brother with a camera. Im sure you can imagine my parent faces. I wish some one would have snapped thier picture. Any way they got every one safe, we lost two canoes and all my brothers and my camping stuff. But it was all worth it,we had a blast and I would do it all over again. Our parents take was a little differant. HE! HE! HE!

That was trully one of the best times of my life.
Met some girls, got to see some nude sun bathers that didn't think any one was around. We could have realy used fordman there with his quick draw camera. HE! HE! told spooky stories around the camp fire, and got lots of excitement. It was realy beautiful there. Your lucky living so close to such a nice area.
