the story of my 1957 Chevy Bel Air

    PEace,

for living in teh heartland of Nebraska, cheap 57s arent easy. my story started when we were going to town and pass a local junk yard every single day. i always wondered what was in the trees behind the junkyard. i heard alot of old cars. as i looked back tehre from the highway a very nice yello and cream 57 Chevy zoomed by. i lloked at it and knew how much i wanted one. well i got the classic car bug then. i called every used car lot in town to see if if they had any cars form the late 50s for sale. i called and got a dealership who said they have a 57 Chevy Bel air. motor good, interior fair, body needs work. i asked how much and they said $2,500 i went over there to look and fell in love. and now i owe 500 more and i own her and i have found bodo on her and need new backup, brake housing, headlight bezels, dash trim, all mirrors, grille, grille bar, rocker panel molding. i found out it was a parts car at one time. the guy owend 2 57s. a 2 dr hard top and my 4 dr. he used mine as parts and then planned to restore this one. which he started doing. then sold it. now i am looking at a parts car to use for mine. then sell the parts i dont want and get more money. my car has the original 283 4 barrel and all she needs is a tune up and timeing chain is off besides that she will fire right up!
