Total newbie... Need help.
Greetings all... I have a handle on what I want to build and I've got the help lined up to build it. BUT, here's the big problem - paying for it.
Does anyone out there know of places that specialize in doing loans for people building cars?
Can I apply for a "regular" auto loan to finance this build?
I would appreciate all suggestions short of robbing a bank.
Thanks to all who might have some advice...

Take out a loan against your girlfriend's car title.
Tell her your getting it appraised.

One question that comes to mind.
If you'll find a way to spare a few hundred, or maybe a grand, a month to pay a loan off, why couldn't you just budget spare money every month to buy parts?
Like me for instance, take every last red cent left over after paying bills. . . .and spend it on your hotrod.
Of course I'm 25, single (at least now I'm single), and have no kids, so I don't have much to worry about.

That's a good plan. If you pay for a hobby with anything other than discretionary funds it will soon become a ball N' chain. Then it is no longer fun. Then ....... what's the point????You miss 100% of the shots you never take

Set aside so much per month, and set down with a Summit or Jeg's catalog and start making your list. This way you will know how much you need, and what needs replaced. Start by pulling the motor and trans and detailing the engine bay. Clean up any unnecessary wiring, relays, etc. etc. This all takes time and is relatively free, so it will get you started and get the juices flowing. Good luck, stay away from a loan if you can. Most of us have been doing this for a while, and it is much better to pay as you go vs. having a payment every month. Good luck.

ONE PART AT A TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME
My little Rod took 4 years and a lot of trips to the swap meets, runs to the you pull it junkyard, and a lot of time standing at the parts cleaner and help from friends. I made a lot of new friends along the way and learned a ton. The guys at the parts store and Speed shop know me by name and can probably tell you what motor and trans I used. The wife thought (that pile of junk in the barn was going to set there for ever) IT IS DONE??? The car is mine…… AND I AM GOING TO DRIVE THE WHEELS OFF OF IT
