When these engines first came out they were highly toted in magazines. Andy Brizio built a '32 Ford highboy roadster that had two inline rotary engines--made a number of magazines. A year later it had a blown small block. He claimed they lacked torque.

Thanks The garage is only 12ft wide so its really only a one and a half car garage but with these old cars being so narrow, especially the 103e, they fit with room to walk between them.

Why dem photos i put up so small? will they get bigger?

Heres a slightly bigger pic of 'WankelPops' new friend 'The Mistress' that i imported from Connecticut last year...

Man, I absolutely love your friends Tub. Sorry your 'Mistress' is cute too and I like the flatty engine but the Tub just lights my fire. What I am having trouble understanding though is why, when you are from the land of Pom Mobiles and Rover V8's would somebody place a jappa screaming rotary into a Pop ? Each to their own I know but a rotary and it's horrible " bub bub bub " exhaust note, a nightmare on wheels and gladly an engine that didn't become popular.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Now, i happen to know that there is a great deal of rivalry in NZ and Aus (much like the Ford / Holden rivalry) between the V8 guys and the Rotards.. and youre clearly on the V8 side I also know that there is a significant community down there who live, breath and dream Rotary. I know some of them who have lived for a while in the uk and gone back, usually taking an RX3 or RX7 with them because they are so expensive down there due to demand.

Sorry that reminded me of the boring F1 cars of the last 10 years or so, a screaming angry bubble bee. And if I knew there were people importing rusty old Mazda's from the UK. I would of closed our borders to the poor sods.
