You all may find something you need here. World's largest junkyard.
Found this while surfing a while back. Looks a lot like the junkyards in Tennessee, but hey it's not that far away. It has a lot of good old cars there, but they will take some work to get out. Check it out. It's in White, Georgia.

Does anyone know anything about this truck?
I'm not trying to stump anyone with this one. I just found this pic while I was out searching and it caught my eye. I recognize it is some sort of modified 1960 Chevrolet truck. It looked like a fiberglass front end, but it has been changed. Personally my favorite year of truck is the 1960 Chevy, but stock at least. This does nothing for the aesthetic appeal, but it is interesting nonetheless. If anyone knows anything about this truck in particular, please tell me.

Matthew.
It looks like they took an extra hood and cut off the front, narrowed it and welded it on under the grille. Then bondoed it in.You can almost see where it was cut and welded in the middle. In my opinion those pods on the hood were ugly to begin with and this is just twice as much of something I never liked. If I was forced to do this for a customer I would have mounted them upside down. The grille looks like the center of a 1955 Desoto grille and the headlights could be most anything. It reminds me of Pierre's Caddilac. If I owned it I might keep the custom grille but I'd remove the custom bodywork and find a front bumper.

The pods are what make it look good. I hate seeing 62/63/64/65/66 hoods on a 60/61. Unnatural. Those lights are stock for 60 & 61. Now I don't care for this particular truck, but I do like that year. I have a 1963 I am planning to put a 60 hood and a 61 grille in. It already has a 283 that is locked up bad. But that is after I finish my Nash(s).

This truck was originally commissioned by Budweiser over a decade ago. It was built for them by Odvar Barris, who was the blind cousin of George. He operated from his small one stall shop in Humptulips, Wa. It was intended to be used in the first of the "Why ask why" commercials. Seems very appropriate don't you think? It recently sold at auction for an undisclosed sum.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
