The wife's "new" car
Last year, I picked up a 77 Mustang II body (original V8 Cobra II), and decided I'd put it together figuring I'd make a few bucks when I sold it. It also gave me an excuse to use up some of the old hot rod parts I had laying around. It basically went together as a streetracer, earlier 302 4 BBL, header, functional shacker hood scoop, C4, 9", traction bars, 5 lug conversion, manual steering, and standard heater.
The other day the wife and I were talking about the work I wanted to do on her car (90 Chrysler Le Baron rag top YUCK) which is primarly a paint job. As it turned out, she decided that she would rather have the Cobra than the convertable. She'd driven the car to work last spring until it got to hot to drive without AC. Besides being more fun to drive than her convertable, she enjoyed the attention the car got.
Well, at this point, it now has power steering and I'm finishing up installing factory AC. It will also be getting a new hood with a non functional scoop during the monsoon season. It's a nice change for her to have a car that I actually enjoy working on for a change!!!

That's pretty cool Mike. I think a supportive wife makes a huge difference in how we enjoy the sport. A lot of folks I've seen drop out altogether, or end up with a dead project or complete car in the garage, were "victims" of an unsupportive spouse. Mine has her favorites, but isn't committed quite enough to use one as a daily driver. Although, when we got away to the Vegas place, she really enjoyed driving the '56 wagon. Of course, that's her biggest complaint. She says I always sell the cars she likes the most . It's not my fault................really!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

aaahhhh Streets, and here I was not going to say anything bad about T Buckets and in primer, it would be just another primered old Ford.
Though I'd also through in a picture of the 2 really important parts of my life while I'm at it, my wife Donna, and grandson Cade. Cade was born 7 months ago (3 months premature), but is doing great now. I'm looking foward to having a helper in the near future.
Thank you Roger. .
