Hey Dave, thats some list for sure! Thanks for joggin' the ol' grey cells I didn't see Goose Creek Symphony"Words of Wisdom". Kinda strange group from back in the late '60s or early '70s. I wish I could find their tape but I've looked all over with no luck.

Streets... I'm not familiar with Dave Dudley, I'll have to see what I can find on him and give him a listen... I do like Sheb Wooley I did'nt know that he died reciently... I have been in morning since Johnny Cash died... I bought his last CD a couple of months back after hearing his version of Trent Resner's Hurt on MTV... That might be one of the most impactful renditions of any song that I have ever heard... If you have not heard it, do yourself a favor and give it a listen... Been listening to his classic stuff for the last few days... Love the ballad of Ira Hayes, Rock Island line and of course Folsom Prision Blues...
Larry... Never heard of the Goose Creek Symphony before you mentioned them... Here is a link to their web site, looks like are still alive and kicking and releasing new albums...

Tree, several artist have done Hot Rod Lincoln, but probably the one that most comes to people's minds is the Commander Cody version.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Jim Varney and Ricky Skaggs did a "Hot rod lincoln" rendition just a couple years back......sounds pretty decent.
