    HI ALL : THIS IS ED CHECKING IN WITH THE 392 HEMI IN THE 56
    HAWK. THE ENGINE IS IN, USED ORIGINAL MTS AND BUILT ADAPT-ERS TO FIT ENGINE. USED A MUNSIE 4 SPEED & A HYD. CLUTCH ON THE TRANS SNOUT. USED A PACKARD BODY SUPPORT WITH
    DOUBLE HUMPS. CUT FRONT DRIVE SHAFT DOWN AND USED STOCK CENTER SUPPORT. AM NOW INSTALLING RACK AND PINION-POWER OF COURSE.
    I AM TAKING PHOTOS BUT AM NOT COMPUTER WISE AS HOW TO
    POST. WILL GET HELP. THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS THEY HELP AND ENCOURAGE THE WORK. BY THE WAY I USED FULL HEADERS AND THE STEARING IS THE WORST PROBLEM...
    CLEARANCE TO THE HOOD IS 1 1/2 INCHES.

    Here's a pic of a '53 from the recent Studebaker International meet held in Charlotte, NC..
    It wasn't finished, but he was on the right track

    Here's a crappy pic of the rear end, which was way cool...
    It 'was' back halved with tubs and a 4 link setup with coil overs.....and 6.70x15 Firestone bias ply tires with stock hubcaps...

    It could swallow some huge M/T rollers, but it was in stealt mode.
    I asked the owner how his rear tires would hold up, and he just smiled...
