    I got FRAMED

Havent really been around for a while, because the wifes been sick and the son & I have been working in the garage on the project........ Well over the past few days the son & I broke the 48 burb loose from the stock frame and raised the body about 3ft off the ground. Then rolled the old stock HEAVYYYYYYYYYYYYY frame out from under it and rolled the lenghten S10 frame under it. Today I lowwered the body down over the frame and I'll have to say,
IT LOOKS GREATTTTTTTTTT ! ! ! ! ! The front of the running board right now is about 8inches off the ground w/o the motor & tranny sitting in it. It may not sound like a lot but considering when the running boards were in the stock height they would of been 21 inches off the ground. I have some pics of it but dont have the film developed yet, as soon as I do, I'll post them.......joe

I have some, but havent shot all the pics yet. this swap isnt for the weak at heart. you have to lenghten then middle & the end of the frame, cut off the front of the S10 frame almost to the steering box , cut the inner fender wells along with cutting down the radiator core support which means the stock type radiator wont work and "I " will lose about 6-8 inches of rear floor space because the frame will be up into the truck itself because of how low I'm trying to get the truck. I am taking pics as I go along so everyone gets an idea what is going on and as soon as I get them developed I will post them....joe
