Help !!!Need 350 Chev Rocker Specs
Hello All !!! Hope you are all enjoying our Fall !Just wanted to say that i'm new to the forum and also to the car world , so if my statements seem disjointed or wrong please correct me !
Anyhoo, i'm just posting to get the torq specs for a 350 out of a 74 Chev half-ton... reason being that the idiot who installed the engine destroyed our rockers and now we can't get the rockers to stop knocking !
anyone who can help me would be my new very best friend !!!\
Thanks !I want to call it Blue Beauty.... but I call it nightmare instead.... hopefully one day it'll be a nightmare on the track and not a nightmare to get out of my driveway !

rockers
Not to knock on techinspectors post, but he left out one important thing...
Make these adjustments VERY SLOWLY! You have to give the tappet time to "adjust" to your adjustments.
Also, when you are done, shut the engine off and let it rest for a minute or three. Then restart it to see if and tappets "adjusted" themselves again and need more attention.
Also, to make the job less messy (cleaner is always better), there are oil deflectors that clip to the rockers that keep the oil from getting everwhere. The last set I saw was at Pep Boys.Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...
