It's terrible, nothing is right, you should sell it to me right now.Really though you have outdone yourself, if you never did another thing it would still be great. Now comes the expensive part all the "little" stuff.
Also now I know mine doesn't sit just right, oh well winter work. Thank's alot.

Ahhh... We all suspected that stance would look good, but the outdoor pics have proven it! It's right on, Don.
Yeah! I agree with your son. As small as the car appears, a bright color would look good on there. That Fusion Orange is a beautiful color; maybe do the scallop in bright lime green metallic outlined with a bright yellow pinstripe...
Whatever you decide, it's going to look good. The car is just right even if you paint it olive drab with spray cans.Jim

Don the stance looks great and your getting to the part I like routing brake lines, fuel lines, and wiring. ( I must be sick to enjoy that part of the build )
I've been know to throw away a brake line because I didn't like the bend and start over. When I run multiples line side by side I use a ruler to get the same distance between them the whole length..........LOL I am sick.

No, you're not sick, just a perfectionist. I hate tangled wires and dress them out in the loom before installation. It just makes for a cleaner look.Ken Thomas

I too always love plumbing a car, wireing is not my favorite though.

What's Florida PD's stance on running fenderless? My dad was forced to run 3/4 fenders on his T in CT, I thought it really ruined the look of his car.
BTW, yours looks awesome!

Thanks again guys.
As for Florida's laws.........we really don't have any laws down here, come on down. No, seriously, our motor vehicle laws are pretty easy. You don't have to have fenders or a hood, and modifications like chopping and channelling are fine. You have to have normal stuff that your car had originally, like wipers, headlights, etc, but since mine are titled as from the 20's, I am exempt from most of that stuff too.
Most of the cars and trucks running around down here are modified in one way or another, whether it is a jacked up pickup with straight pipes, lowrider pickup or ricer, or the ones with huge tires the pimps drive.Only if you get some small town cop who wants to be a pain do you get any heat. The regular cops usually leave you alone unless you are doing something stupid or look suspicious and they want to check you out.
That is why I left Pennsylvania to come here.(try explaining THAT one to your wife....."Honey, we are moving to Florida because we don't need fenders there."

Over in Ausbloodytralia where they have to have fenders, some enterprising fella has made them out of fibreglass to look exactly like tyres. And , mounted to the backing plate, and very close to the tyre, at first glance it's hard to tell.johnboy

Looking good Don!!!I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

I've never understood why the state required fenders. What's it to them - other than they have the inherent need to regulate anything we do.
In Virginia, they require outside door handles - so they can get into your car and save your six in case of an emergency. Nevermind that most new cars automatically lock the doors when you move, rendering the outside door handle useless.Jack

Thanks Mike.
I guess the fender thing goes back to when they were called "mud Guards." On the old roads, and cars like Model A's, they kept mud and stones from being tossed onto the cars behind you, I think. Like most laws, once they are on the books it is almost impossible to get them back off. As for hood laws, who knows, maybe a safety thing with the fan spinning around or something.

Also, when it rains the tires throw off an awful lot of spray which affects following driver visibility. We got the mandatory fender requirement dropped here in Wa. a few years ago, but the new law permitting fenderless cars stipulates that you park the car (safely) wherever you are the moment that rain begins to fall. That moment is up to the local lawman's discretion.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
