If I'd taken a slight side shot it would look familiar to you, this matches your "pillbox" reference (a good one, though probably meaningless to the youngin's ). There's a "ridge" (or reveal) around the the cap side midway between the face and the mount surface.

That would be them. Last year at the annual swap meet at the fairgrounds I come upon a vendor that was selling repo's of those and many other odd hub caps. I don't remember the name, but the quality looked pretty darned good.

Buddy of mine had a stock '50 Merc, and it seemed the hubcaps were flatter on top, more like the pillbox you describe. Is it just the camera angle, or was there more than one hubcap?

    Okay, one more time...................in profile!

BTW Ken, those repops are a smaller diameter than the originals so they'll fit the standardized center diameter.

I got these about 20 years ago from a place near Chi. that sold tires I think it was Kelly tire but probably any tire store that does instalations could get them. My machine in about 30 yr. + in age but beats the heck out of taking wheels and tires somewhere and paying to have them do them I have a balancer also.

I knew she had Belushi blood lines.
What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?
