If I'd taken a slight side shot it would look familiar to you, this matches your "pillbox" reference (a good one, though probably meaningless to the youngin's ). Buddy of mine had a stock '50 Merc, and it seemed the hubcaps were flatter on top, more like the pillbox you describe. Is it just the camera angle, or was there more than one hubcap?

I got these about 20 years ago from a place near Chi. that sold tires I think it was Kelly tire but probably any tire store that does instalations could get them. My machine in about 30 yr. + in age but beats the heck out of taking wheels and tires somewhere and paying to have them do them I have a balancer also.Charlie
