Ya Ken, how long does the jet lag last when you go that far away?
Just for curiousitys sake, how did the people treat you generally?"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Don - We have a place in Hawaii, so we decided to take a vacation from our vacation. thanks for asking, yes I did get a little done. I'm installing the gas tank and getting the radiator made so I can make the hood. I'll post some pics when I get back. the hurricane is supposed to come threw tonight, it's supposed to be pretty ugly.
Brickman - It takes me 3 or 4 days to get back to normal.
The people are very nice. I aways have fun with the kids, they try and talk to me in English. I always carry small books with me to give to them. If you get into the back streets or in the higher crime areas then its different. not that I hang out there
We are getting 25 ft. waves.

Oh yeah Ken, Bob is just a barrel of laughs.
Hurricane?????? I gotta start listening to the News! What hurricane? We were just saying today that we here in Florida have been very lucky so far this year (knock on wood) and we are pretty far into the season already.
Hope you fair well. The news is coming on in 15 minutes, I'll have to watch it. Keep dry bud.

Gee Bob, sorry to be such an ingrate. What was I thinking???
I just watched the news, and not only is Ken facing a couple of hurricanes in Hawaii, but we have a couple breathing down our back too! They won't know much more til Sunday, but there are some things going on in the Atlantic.
I gotta start keeping up on world events. Dan and I built his 455 Olds engine by generator and flood lights after Hurricane Charlie........don't want a repeat of that.

I will probably be the minority, but I love deadlines. I think it comes from years of drag racing. Regardless, I seem to do better under stress. I think you can do this, looking at the photo's you have got a lot of the hard stuff done. Even if you try and miss the date you are going to have fun with your son, and that will be more memorable than any street rod event. besides your T will hold two people.

Uh, no, I'm at about $ 1501.77 right now. OK, BRIAN WOULD JUST SQUEAL ON ME, SO I BETTER TELL THE TRUTH !
I gave up on that premise part way in. Long story that I've repeated a few times, but basically I started to like the car too much and wanted it to be better. I have no idea where I am right now, in all honesty......Probably $ 12 K, but that is just a guess.
However...............I do have a Model A cowl and doors, and some '35 Ford wire wheels, and am planning on ACTUALLY doing another project as soon as this one and the '39 Dodge are done. I promise to stick to the $ 3K thing next time.
Thanks for asking though. (Darned Brian let the cat out of the bag )
Don
PS: Welcome aboard by the way.

For the newbs to Hot Rodding and at CHR, this thread and Brians RPU thread are probably THE 2 most informative threads you could ever care to read anywhere on the 'Net!!! They are both long, but well worth your time!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
