Now I know how he lost all his hair, sitting to high the wind blew it away...LOL
He had to drive fast, because everyone was sure it was a pink car.

Geesh, and I thought my Ex was abusive !!!!
Got the body installed on the frame today, and boy was I nervous. Felt like Jimmy Shine when he warned the Apprentices not to scratch that $ 30,000.00 paint job. We padded the frame and every surrounding thing with towels, masking tape and cardboard, and Don and I lifted while Dan guided it home. Surprisingly, we didn't get a scratch on anything.
I knew this thing was going to be low, but I didn't think it would be this low.....but I love it. The body is about as high as the rear tires, and it has a slight rake to it. Overall I am really thrilled with the outcome. Certainly not a showcar, but I like it anyway.
Tomorrow we are going to spend the day trying to fire up Don's T, and during the week I am going to wire my car and try to test drive it by next weekend. Here are some shots of it tonight, tomorrow I will push it outside for a few better pictures.

Don,
That thing is awesome! I'm sure you have probably answered this a hundred times but what color is the interior going to be?

Thanks Bob and Ken. I think the interior is going to be a color that resembles an old baseball glove, sort of distressed, but not beat up if you know what I mean. Aside from black, which I don't want because of how hot it gets, it is the only color I can think of that will go with the colors I now have.
It will also give it that "used" look that I want for the car, kind of like an old hot rod that has been around for a while.
Ken, how is the sedan coming?

Don,
I think that will look great.
The sedan is coming along, I have the wheels ordered, I have got the clutch, a Mcleod dual disc street set up with there hydraulic through out bearing, and a Tremec 5 speed. I picked up some '40 ford bells for the quick change. The parts collecting is the easy part, the frame construction is a nightmare. Building the fixture is really time consuming. Even with the drawings done, there are so many pieces. I sent the drawings to our Lazar cutting guy to cut the front frame rails and the rear rails. I'm using the stock style center portion of the frame. It's going a lot slower than I would like, thanks for asking.

The car is looking great!! Better than great actually!!
Glad to hear you're about ready for a test drive (you will post a video of course?).
I haven't posted anything lately, but I check on your progress nearly every day.
Hope your son's T goes as well.

Thanks everybody. I am going to build my wiring harness from scratch. I already did one, but changed my mind on using it because it all went under the dash, and I've determined there is almost no way to get back under there to install it due to the size of that area. A '23 has the smallest underdash area I have ever seen, which is why everybody else puts their wiring and switches under the seat. That is what I am going to now do too.
I've never used a commercial wiring harness like a Painless or Ron Francis because I was able to buy marine grade wiring cheap, being in that business. But now that I no longer am, I may use a kit next time on the other cars. Don just bought a kit for his T, and it is really pretty impressive. Each wire is marked with it's destination and all the circuits are loomed into groups. I had never really looked at them, but it sure looks like the way to go.
As for a video.........you betcha!! I'll do another YouTube, but am going to have to refrain from any smokey burnouts. I don't want to break anything before Daytona, so I'll have to baby it for a while.

Gotta give us one little burnout Don.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
