Don,
Wow your car looks great! I have been on vacation the last couple of weeks, and didn't have access to a connection, you have got a lot done. I am way behind on everything so I don't have time to go back threw everything, and after seeing the pink thing I'm not sure I will any time soon!

Yeah Ken, that Bob is just a barrel of laughs.
I was just thinking we haven't heard from you lately. Sounds like you got away on your vacation. What did you do?

I had to go to China on business and decided to take the family. So we made it a vacation. Went to the Great Wall and 3 Gorge, and a bunch of places I can't pronounce much less spell. It's all worth seeing if anyone is interested. I took over 600 pictures.

Sure, I don't know how to resize, I will ask at work tomorrow and post a few. It really is unbelievable some of there history and what went on there.
I have to tell you it will really open your eyes to what is going on in our country,we are really in trouble here and it's like, nothing is being done. I don't want to get political here but I honestly don't think this is reversible. I don't know what will happen to future generations.
Ken
Just for the record I'm being forced to contribute to this problem just like a lot of small business are.

It scares me too Ken when I see how little we actually produce here at home any more. What saved our butt in 2 world wars was that we could out build the other guy. Now, we just service other people's stuff, pretty much.
Hey, I have a question about car insurance to ask you guys. Yesterday I went to my insurance agent to renew my regular car insurance, (I've had the same agent since 1985) and I mentioned to him that I would be coming in to put my T on the policy in the next couple of months. He said "don't do it, I have a better deal for you." Turns out he sells Haggerty Collector Car insurance, and says for about $ 300 a year I can get total coverage on it.
I've just always tagged it onto my normal policy, and never considered anything like Haggerty just because I thought it might be too restrictive (he says I can drive up to 3,000 miles a year) but how do they verify that? My car has no speedometer, and hence, no odometer either,
Do any of you have Haggerty, and how do you like it? Do they put you through any hoops initially, like pictures and maybe not accepting you, or anything?

I have Haggerty, I stated the value I wanted it insured for and they requested pictures and that was it, no restrictions that I am aware of. I haven't filed a claim so I don't know that would go.

I've had Haggerty for over 15 years, never had a claim to test them. They used to be very price competitive. In the last few years others have decided to give them some competition. Last year I put the Fairlane on with Grundy (check them out as well) because they were close to $100 less for the same dollar amounts of coverage (comparing rates alone isn't enough unless you know the level of coverage), and didn't require an appraisal as I've had to do with Haggerty in the past (on some of the cars not all). I still have the cars that are in the build process with Haggerty (comprehensive only, not liability) as Grundy told me they don't insure unfinished or project cars. As for the mileage thing, nobody has ever come out to varify odometer readings either initially or annually, it must be some technicality they have to abide by to sell the type of policy they do.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
RIP Mike....prayers to those you left behind. .
