Lightbulb 78 firewall smooth or stainless?

Some one was already asking the question that I been brewing, but I'll be a little more specific. I've got a 1978 nova, and I want to clean up the firewall and engine bay,

1:what would be the best way to hide the wires and heater (I need the heater) hoses?
can I get ride of that big ugly box and keep my heater? what have you guys done or seen done?( brake booster is fine )

2:And I want , the holes under the hood ( in-between the supports) to have that mirror look! what do I use there SS?

I can handle the wheel wells( and a smooth firewall) being just shiny paint but I want the underhood to reflect the motor!
    " so it'll go faster"

The motor is out of the 78' right now so I's can paint an'clean
"in a chair". ( to keep me busy) work has stopped on 49 & 51 untill after surgery "anyway", any help or" one liners" from friends?

"no cracks about my 250 either streets" -- Fyi: cut the meds in half so I can think, (a little)

Ok the 'ugly box" is my air conditioner "thang" ,can I get it gone but, keep my heater ? Without buying a whole new set up? and its made out of some ' plastic fiber crap!'

use the clear Krylon plastic spray in a bug bomb that old time printer's used to use to save their paste-ups too
    What is that?

and Ya! I'm cuttin' em in ½, until I can get something diffrent

    Lightbulb Ooooooooo! Krylon! duu...........

    HAaa! "
somewhere around there amongst the cars growin' outta duh weeds??
    "She" mowes !....!.........

I didn't think the krylon, would be good to use? you know like "staying power"... But the polishing will keep me busy, I guess I'll just have " my boy" blast it, after I scrape some of the crud off, and go at the tight spots with a "dremal" & then let "him" go at it with a bigger angle grinder( w/a fine scuff pad)?. I was thinking "stainless cover" ,got some of that thinner stuff laying around . If I remeber right ?don't remember what guage? and i ain't got no frenchy wheel ( 4 that compound curve in the middle) "yet!" don't have any stainless wire either!

"I guess i was hoping to hear a secret, not more work!"
I guess just stitch in little patch pieces for all the little holes, and a little filler , and some gloss paint ,if'n i want it smooth.

The VA sends me my FREE (Taxpayer paid for) meds (3000 ata time) in a Mayonaise size jar by Registered Mail thru the USPS.. I gotta go sign fer um...
Hell, I'd be happy if I could find some body to deliver groceries!
I hate going there, she drags me with her every time, how many different types of stuff do people really need !
I got to get a different prescription, then ...........I'll sleep( maybe?)

"I think streets has been letting me bounce ideas off of him, here and thru PMs " now that i go back and read it sounds kind of funny But ,we should have that up on the fourm some where ""'

    """

I think alot of people come here looking for " that " secret.

I think I'm going to stick to reading , "wind picked up out side , got tired of listening to it while cleaning ( my 10 mins I spent out there)

yep! "makes all the difference" , hell !,, she even likes look'in at junk, going fish'in, & mowing the grass! " if she liked going to the " gentlemen's club " ( keeping the economy going) and drink'in beer I'd never get away from her she wasn't lieing either, shes here around 10:00 an again at 12:30, untill I get the meds switched.

And I made it back out side, ( takes 15min to get there!) got most of the big stuff cleaned, wiper motor is in the way! & just took "air con" box "off". looks like I can just leave 2 holes for the hoses. I think I'm going with the SS though .....? went ahead and cut a pattern out of card board, just haven't figured out how to make it look good &" fit" well around brake booster.( don't remember how much trouble it is, if I pull & replace )
The SS I have is a little thick! may have to see if I can get some thinner stuff from a friend. Just going to cut a saddle in it instead of trying to bend and curve. And I think I'm going to use your "bumper bolts " idea to attach it , ( didn't want to weld the SS anyway, haven't had to do that yet ? ) looks like this is turning out alright so far.
She's already talk'n loud at' me, , she had the motor pulled (4 me) so I could sit down, and I'm spending more time over the fender!
And under the hood ? ,,,,I'm going to use your idea with the polishing. unless someone has a better idea ? Well '... back2-bouncy bouncy -- BRB
