OOOoohhh.. An Instruction Book! You were expecting someone to inform you how to install newly purchased parts? That happens in this hobby??
I just love the "IB" with the handwritten instructions done by a 2nd grader! That's usually what I find.
So that just leave "DW" .. Let me guess. DEAR WIFE?!?! lol..

Since I don't want to violate any of the unwritten rules, yeah, right! I searched for a few pics to share. I can't find any from 2000 when I bought the frame but I did locate some from 2001. These first pics are from the trip to get the body. I bought the body from a guy in Frankenmuth (spelled?) MI. And some friends had family nearby. I was living in New Mexico then. Anyway, we made arrangements that they would travel home for a visit and on the return trip they'd go into MI and pickup the body and I shared fuel costs back. So here's some pics that they would e-mail me from on the road.

And then here's 3 with the body setting on the frame.

Hey Mike,
Those are great pics but the "unwritten rule" which I guess is getting is getting written as we speak....is that you post pics of what you just worked on, i.e. your window installation. That way, all these faithful viewers can see our progress and perhaps relate it to something they're doing on their own project. Now get out there and take some pics of those windows!!! LOL!
Thanks for posting these pics though!
I'm just messin' with ya! Post whatever you want!

Sheesh! Some people are never happy!Actually I was happy I found those as I thought I lost them with the old computer! So I thought I'd share.
I ain't taken the door panel off so I snap a pic so you can hopefully see the door has a window! Sorry but that panel ain't coming apart until the painful aggravating memories fade some more!
I'll try and get some pics of me doing hood alignment. That should last about 20 minutes into the project when my blood pressure skyrockets! Then I'll forget the camera again. That's what usually happens to me. The situation at hand overrides all other thoughts...
Thanks for the .. ummm.. compliments, I think! And Dave, say HI to the DW for me!

I don't know what all the fuss is with door windows. All I have to do is snap 'em in place - no big deal
Mike - while you're doing that front panel adjustment, recall all of those "perfectly" installed pieces we looked at last fall in Burlington. Those owners all seemed to still be sane, or at least weren't counting their fingers or babbling to themselves.
Consider the DW spoken toDave W

Yay, Mike! It's nice to see at least one of us is making some progress on his car!! Given where I live, I can't really use the "cold weather" excuse for my lack of progress......just buried by life! Hopefully, I can get back to it soon but until then, it's inspiring to see your pics! Thanks.

With the warmer weather (mid 60's today!) I made a few hours over the weekend and worked on fitting the hood and fabbing some latches. Far be it from me to "bend" the unwritten rules so here's a couple pics of where I left off. Still a pile of work to do but I'm feeling better with how it's coming together.
And then a newer model....
