The '29 rear hood hinge rod was too tall as I showed in my last post in April but a '30-'31 mount made a better fit. Along the way I dinged the paint in a few places but that is too late now and maybe some of them can be rubbed out later. It turned out that you have to tap threads into the tube frame (Brookville) for the front hold downs and the 'glass body did not accomodate the front curve-down of the front apron so there had to be some trimming of the hold-down shelves. And HELLO DON!!! We're glad you're here! Haven't heard from you in awhile and was wondering how you (and the car) have been?!?! I did the same as you with the hood! Got frustrated with the lack of fit and splurged to get a steel repro. Then worked almost a whole summer to get the fit as close to perfect as I could. Later, after the car was painted, I re-installed with new gaskets and it never fit right since.. It's okay, I've moved past it.. it's also a glass car and I want to drive it not make a museum piece! (regardless of what my wife says!)

I did just register it and have been out on 2 small shake down runs.. Discovered some "bugs" / gremlins.. but that's all part of the fun!
