350 chevy nova
i go a 350 chevy nova, i just installed new hooker super comp headers and got a 3 inch piping with flowmaster 40 series mufflers, how can i increase the noise and not decrease horsepower, i am thinking of getting other flowmasters maybe super 50 series. is that ok????

If you want some good sound use 40 series flowmasters with an x-pipe. Dynomax 2-chambers aer sweet too. As long as your not running a ridiculous size pipe like 3.5" pipe you shuoldn't lose any back pressure. 3" is pushing it for a SBC. If you ran 3" with an H-Pipe to equalize the exhaust pressure with 2 chamber mufflers on it'll sound... sweet.
Good Luck

You want loud? Run open pipes! I run the 40s and its plenty loud enough for me. I don't know about the SBC super comps but the BBC super comps are huge and you better be moving enough exhaust for them to function properly. If this is a pump gas street 350 you would probably have more power(tq) with the comp headers. Do you spin at 7500rpm? If not I think the super comps are hurting you...
Two cents and good luck,
Chris
A "skip" = a dumpster.... but he says it's proper english??? Oh.. Okay. Most of us can see the dating site pun, "matching" with an arsonist.. But a "SKIP? How is that a box? It must all be...
