Door Jamb Wiring?
I need a better way to get electric into my doors. I have the pad and plunger system at present. I found a neat door jamb loom at Julianos? but its out of stock. They lost their supplier. It was a hollow curved tube 5-6 inches that mounts in the door face and slides into the jamb as the door is closed. It carrys the wires inside. The one I found was $10 for a pair in black plastic. I have found several at Jegs and Summit in chrome or stainless for $50 or $60 a pair. I'd rather fab up something than pay that.
Has anyone seen any other neat solutions? NO clearance for rubber accordian style. 38 Chev with hinges on the outside if the body. THanksMy favorite music is "Peggy Sue" with dual Smitty's in the background!

I used a 3/4" heavy stainless spring slid through the jam and the door, works great."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

DennyW--Yes I was thinking of 3/8 copper tubing, slightly bent, run a die over the one end and use a very thin collar nut in the door opening with a regular nut inside the door to mount it.
Brickman-- I think you mean a flat 3/4 spring insulated against the door and jamb? I have too many wires, its a 4 door with power windows but could apply a single spring for the door solenoid. Thanks ChuckMy favorite music is "Peggy Sue" with dual Smitty's in the background!

I used the one from SPW and it works great. www.specialtypowerwindows.com It was $28, called a FWC (flexible wire conduit)

I used rubber fuel line on the panel truck (40 chevy). Mounted the jam side solid and let the door side slide in & out. Slight curve from being on a spool was just enough to line up with the door hinge geometry. I had electric windows & solenoid door openers. All the wires fit fine and I never had a problem with it."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
