new build thread
Been lurking here for a while. Finally have my act together to build my first hot rod. 48 isn't to late to start is it?...kidding
After much studying, looking, browsing, listening, I have decided to buy the 1927 "Track T" from Speedway.

This uses the running gear from a Pinto. I think it would be a fun car to build and something a bit different.
I just purchased all the running gear from a 74 Pinto and will pick it up on Saturday. Was amazed how hard those were to find, but Miami is not exactly a Pinto sort of town.
The plan is to build/rebuild the engine, transmission and get all the parts ready to install, then order the kit.
I am sure I will have a billion questions to ask during the build and will try to post pics as much as possible. I do have the Track T instruction manual but it does not have a lot of detail.
I'm as giddy as a school boy before his first date.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
