total performance 23t
for the last 2 months ive been thinking about building a 23 t , my dream car.
ive spoken with the guys from total performance went to york , and even sat in a couple at the street rod nats, well ive made my first payment on the kit.
i got the ball rolling already got the paint and chrome figured out and the only thing im having a hard time with is do i go traditional...white wall tires, baby moons and center caps or do i go pro street with the big gummies, what made it easy for me was total performance, these guys are great to talk with ,and the best part 20% down and layaway for 12 monthsGLENN

Looking at your Camaro, it looks like you are a performance guy. Big gummies!

It is very limber, but IMO fine for up to 250 - 350Hp, i.e. a 350/350 Chebbie or a 351W/C4 Ford as picturedDave

It's always a tough call to decide what theme to build a car to. It's easy for me, I'm lost in the '50's, so all my stuff is built sort of along those lines. There is no reason to rush into the decision, you can start putting it together, and by simply using one wheel and tire combo versus another, you will alter the appearance. Then you can accessorize the engine and rest of the car to follow that look.
To stiffen the chassis for more HP, you can use the engine and tranny mounts like we bought for my Sons T bucket. They are the crossmember type from Speedway, and if you insert the engine crossmember into holes in the frame, then do the same with the tranny crossmember, when welded up you will have a crossmember every couple of feet. This will substantially strengthen the frame and eliminate lots of twisting.
Congrats on taking the big step. Have fun.

I'm jealous, I would love to be starting a T project. The ol' school look is cool, but I like them all. Good luck and keep us informed."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Just in case you're open to alternatives, and can get your payment back, here's something in your "back yard"....
