This where the 49 ford frame is at. I have done no work to it at all this summer as I am building the chassis for my Bad Ast project. In fact, the guy I bought it from just bought it back from me... He stopped over a week ago Saturday, saw what I had done on it and all of the parts I had gathered and decided it was to a point where he could finish it. Getting this dude out of the shop will open up a lot of room. Plus, I needed the rotisserie for the Bad Ast frame to finish the welding and paint.
Just after we rolled it into the shop last Sunday afternoon. We are sticking the "big" parts together so it's easier to transport. With a rolling chassis it can be picked up with a rollback and all of the little parts are easy to haul in a pickup.

Off the rotisserie and hanging the rearend.

    Engine and trans stabbed in...

Got a lot done on the van chassis and the '49 this weekend even though we only had Sunday. (Saturday was Back to the Bricks in Flint).
George, the new owner, is coming out next weekend to set the cab on the frame and get it out of my shop.

Looks great! I like the suspension and brake upgrades; should handle and stop much better than it did in 49.

Well, the 49 is out of the shop. Sat the cab on the frame last Saturday and George came and picked it Sunday morning. Kinda sad to see it go, you know? It was well on it's way to completion and is basically a bolt together deal now.

It's going to look pretty cool... That's the new owner checking under her skirt...
