MGB transformed to a 33 Roadster
I have a donor 79 MGB that I am cutting and radically changing into what will look like a 33 Roadster. The engine will be exposed and I am debating on fenders that are scaled down 33 fenders molded to match the frame and front end of the B. I plan to use a fiberglass model A grill shell. The bumpers and original grill are gone. The coil is being relocated and a new wiring harness installed. The decision about the fenders will determine the way that headlights are mounted, by post from the frame (next to the grill) or on a cross support bar. The door-windows and top will be removed and the doors welded shut. The length will be shortened by abouta foot and the seat relocated back as far as possible which means moving the battery from behind the pass seat. The new fuse block will be on the trans tunnel, inside the car, taken from a 94 Saturn.
Any words of advice or encouragement? Criticism is expected but I have gotten plenty already.

tech. It currently has a good original motor, tranny and rear so that will stay for now. It has a header and oversized exhaust and a progressive webber. Mostly, I am going for the look at this point. Should the drive trane not last, a 5.0 etc. will slip right in and was an option in the later MGBs.
