The Best/Worst Ride You Ever Had

Since we were talking urban legends some of the responses were of fond memorys of the past so i thought i would start a tread about the best or worst cars we ever had.
In my case i would have to say that my best car was my worst car. It was a 69 4dr plymouth valient. I got it in a trade for my 74 chevy short box 4x4. The guy pulled up to buy my truck with this old blue faded rusting bucket of a car. He made me a deal on the truck, then it occured to me that i don't have a driver now. So i said i'll give you $400 off if you give me this car, he agreed. It had one of those chrysler industructable sixs in it that actually ran pretty good. Needless to say over the next year i drove the s**t out of that car while i was in the process of finishing my hot rod, never changed oil, never washed it, just put gas in it and drove. Once i was done with it i sold it to my buddy for $400, he drove it the same way i did, then sold it back to me a year later for $100. i drove the p**s out of it for another year, then gave it to my sister. She drove the same way for another year then finally hit a curb and tore the front end off it. I think in the 4 years we had it, it might of seen a wash 4 or 5 times, but no oil changes no maintance, i tore the exaust off it earlier on ripping through a farmers field, never replaced it, tires were bald, nobody cared, but that car just would'nt give up the ghost, we had alot of fun with that beater

worst ride would have to be my first car a 74 Cougar rusty brush painted white with no floor and no trunk I took the exhaust off cuz it sounded better it didn't run most of the time so I couldn't drive it (parents loved it), best car is a tie between the two old trucks I have had 66 chevy c10 and 67 c10 the first truck hated me but I liked it sold it back and forth between two friends back to me then the last friend bought it back after inline 6, gmc v6, two v8s later he is is still driving it and it been 8 years, the other I am still driving a first year fully optioned truck wish it still had the original 327 but its running stong with the low buck 307 I put in it about 6 years ago hopefully for a lot longer.

The best ride is easy it was a '67 chrysler 300 sport coupe, it was still a good 20 feet long. It had a 440 with a four barrel that had that toilet flushing sound when you really stomped the pedal, dual exhausts with no stupid mufflers to ruin the sound. That car was huge, powerfull and rode better than a new cadillac. The worst is probably what ive got now a 53 plymouth, it only rides fair, not powerfull, mexican blanket interior, rolls around corners, every shopping cart hits me, not to mention all the deer. But ive recieved more compliments on my "50 Mercury" than any other car ive ever owned. Maybe i should have left more plymouth emblems on it.

Worst car 64 Ford with advanced case of rust. Was taken out by a deer. Best car a very clean 66 GTO burgundy w/black interior. I even kept the firewall and inner fenders waxed on that one. Clean inside and out. I sold it for a song because I needed money at the time.

I still own every car I have ever had. Amounts to five. My best is definitely my 1996 Saturn SC2. Runs great, leather, good shape, enough power for now. I like it. Second would probably be a tie between my 1939 Nash Ambassador 6 rod and my 1972 Chevy Suburban. Worst would probably be my 1939 Nash LaFayette or my 1963 C10. The former hasn't run in 40 years, the latter in 15. Both are on their way, though. The Suburban has been hovering between second best and worst. Worst on overall loss. Spent too much so far and it still doesn't like to run. Couple that with rocker panel rot and you have a rag. But factor in the working front and rear AC, semi running 350, good interior, and fair body overall, and you can see where the question comes in. I have mixed feelings about this rag. If anyone wants to take it off my hands the asking price is $3,600 and it is in East Tennessee.
