some opinions, please
Looking for a wheel and tire combo for Jackie's Camaro. Yeah, I know they're Ford wheels and the bolt pattern is wrong, but that's no big deal to correct. Never heard of thes tires, here's a bit of info from the ad:
ITEM DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a set of four brand-new BLACK replica BULLITT style rims, Vredestein tires and original Ford OEM center caps.
Speed rated at 180 mph. I think a good, aggressive looking tread, wondered what you guys though of them. For those who don't know, the maro is an '82 with a few custom mods, wheel openings are still stock, however.
Thanks for your consideration.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

That's an old line Dutch/German brand of tire well known in Europe.
The wheel is basically a knockoff of the American Torque thrust D, a timeless design that's easy on the eye. Unless these are going to go at a super price you should be able to get them in 4 3/4 b.c. and not have to modify.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

How much does he want for them? I like the TT2M's that American Racing has! I would pair those with some BFG G-Force Sports. For the price, those are the stickiest tires I have ever owned!

about $1150 for the tires and wheels... I've got nothing against Weld Wheels, just tired of seeing them on everything. Guess I've just never been one to go with the trick of the month club stuff. Thought the tire and wheel combination was a bit unique and would fit in well with the rest of the build....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

BTW, it's old news, but las year, I was surprised to see that Weld Wheels went bankrupt. They were the wheel of choice for rodders and racers for quite a while.Weld Wheel Industries Inc. has completed its bankruptcy-driven sale in a deal that will keep its local facilities rolling. The Kansas City-based manufacturer of high-end custom wheels filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August. As a result of the bankruptcy, Weld Wheel sold all its assets to American Racing Equipment Inc., a similar company based in Rancho Dominguez, Calif., for $24.4 million.Jack

I am more for the chrome look on wheels my self but I like the profile and the stance. For me Dave and all the custom stuff on the car they will probly work well."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Vrederstein Tires is a European tire company that makes tires for hi-performance vehicles to lawn tractors and everything in between. I used to have a two sets for my Fiat Dino, one set for winter and one for the rest of the year. That was back before All Season Radials became a commodity. They were excellent tires.
As to the wheels, I like the looks of them, but not sure I would go to the expense of having them converted for GM. Maybe if it could be done cheaply, like re-drilling the mounting plate for the GM bolt circle. Other mfrg's do this all of the time during production, but not sure how well it could be accomplished after production.
About the little horses on the center hub, maybe you can get it taken off or maybe just covered over by another horse.....a prancing horse!! That would certainly mess with some people's mind's.Bob

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
