Opel rekord olympia (p1) - 1959
Hello
this week i just bought this car. it's a 1959 opel rekord olympia, its a european car with american style.
It has a 1700cc engine with 55HP, 3 speeds and works with 6v.
The body is not bad but the mechanic needs some huge revision.
Anyone else with the same model around?
Here you have some pics:

I have owned several 60's Kadet Coupes & wagons, BUT I want one of these. Reminds me of the late 50's Buick wagons.....

There is a 2 door wagon version sitting in a garage that has fell down on the car, unfortunately the vandals had broken out the windows many years ago and its probably junk. I am thinkng about going back since there were quite a few 50s trucks behind it and I would like to see what is left. Jeff

The later pictures show a huge improvement over the first set, hard to believe its the same car, nice job. I am not much for white walls, but I think the white walls give it a good look.

That car is cool. My first car was a 1969 Opel Kadett. It was rough but I loved that car.

while the car seems ready theres allways some things that appear.
The first was the tank sender... it's was damaged and as opel parts is a pain to find i had to re-wire the interior of the sender.

I drive my classic cars for work and to everyplace so sometimes i have some notes in my car.
The last one was a message asking if i could let the sound of my car be taped to mix with old images from a movie in Portugal.
Obvious i said yes and here is some images of the sound recording
