I found another project!
Well, might have.
At the wrecking yard that my dad and I go to, theres a 1948 plymouth coupe sitting underneath a ripped tarp.
it looks mostly complete, minimal rust, all the seats are there, and comes with a fender that would just need to be put on. about half the trim is there, and theres a few dents. No windshield or door windows.
I talked to the guy who owns ot, he says its for sale. he wants $2,500 for it.
so, do you guys think its worth paying that much or not?
If not, what should I offer him?---Nick

Cause to type it up it took the whole staff,
and when they got through, the title weighed 60 pounds!!"

Hard to tell. Post some pictures if you can, and it will be easier to offer an opinion. I would walk in with $ 1000 in hundred dollar bills, and see what happens. Cash in front of someone's face usually means more than just talking. I bet if you said that is all you could spend, he might bend,
Does it have a title, and how long has it been sitting?

Gah, i was out there today, shoulda taken some pics. totaly forgot. thats true about the money thing though.
I noticed it last time i was there, wich was about a month ago. Went back today, and it was still sittin there, as far as i could tell, no one had touched it. no clue on the title or anything else.
Its a pretty un-molested car though. tops not chopped, its not channeled, lowered, anything.
Im just trying to get a ballpark figure about what these cars are worth. like i said, its in pretty good condition though.Last edited by 71fordkid; 08-12-2007 at 03:31 AM.

Go into Ebay, and type in 1948 Plymouth. There are a couple there. Then click on "completed listings." There are more there, and it will sort of give you a ballpark. I looked for you, but there are too many to post, so it's best if you look there yourself.
