    Bending Frames

How much Horse Power and Torque do u think I can safely run on a stock '67 Chevy C-10 frame before I torque it out of alignment. The trucks gonna have an 8point roll bar, and I want the frame still enough to be about to launch with full traction and not worry about bending the frame. By the way, its a 500cid Caddy motor that is making 500hp and 600torque, and future plans call for a 8-71 blower am I gonna need to box the frame. Does anyone have experience boxing a frame like this? How's it done?

Streets - Sorry about the piss poor spelling, I guess I was thinking faster than I was typing.

What the sentance was meant to say was "and I want the frame TO still BE STRONG enough to beABLE to launch with full traction and not worry about bending the frame.

Sorry if I confused anyone with that. I guess I should proof-read what I type before posting it!

PS - Streets, I'm sure you can probably find something wrong with this post too, so let me know what it is allright.

Tech gave you the right answer. Size of the frame not near as important as having it properly braced. 8 point cage does a lot to stiffen a chassis as long as it is installed properly.
