It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Thanks for the pictures RC57, that's exactly the look I want.
Bob, thank you for finding that ad. I'll try to get in touch with him tomorrow. I may not need it real quick as it turns out. When I got to the shop tonight Dan was helping his Brother Don weld up the engine and tranny mounts in his T bucket. Dan pulled me aside and asked me to shelf the Dodge project for right now so that we can try to get Don's bucket done in time for Daytona. Don has gone through a tough last year, and is just now getting back on his feet. Dan felt it would be the morale boost Don needs to start enjoying things again.
I can't argue with that, so all three of us are going to dig in and try to get his T done real fast. He has most of the big items, and the engine is fresh and almost ready to fire up, so it is pretty certain we can do it. Don is going to come over to the shop every night after work, and we are going to work on it as late as needed.
Also, Dan says to do the Dodge right it needs lots of interior tinwork, and finishing up, and there are a lot of unknowns, like the engine has never been fired up, etc. Dan is fine with not having a rod to drive this year, and it makes me proud that he is putting Don in front of himself........which is something both of them always do for each other.
So, I guess I'll be posting pictures of the T bucket going together, then after Daytona I am going to get back on the Dodge. Thank you everybody for your good wishes and nice words on this one.

Thanks Bob and Bobby. Yeah, some things are more important than making a deadline. It's nice to see Don back in the shop working on something again.......haven't gotten to see much of him the past two years as he has been working 5 days and playing 6 nights a week. I'm looking forward to having both of them there again.

You really, really, really know how to hurt a guy Bob! That thing is nice. What is an Oliver, never heard of it? A tractor?

Yeap, Don, a farm tractor from way back. Later they were known as White-Olivers and a few other names. That looks like it's off of a late 40's or early 50's Oliver.Duane S

Huh. Pretty cool looking . Even tractor grilles have gotten pricey. Not only are the rat rodders buying them up, but the guys who restore old tractors seek them out too.

Yeah, that's vry true. Around here they have tractor rides where these guys with their restored older tractors go out and drive them from town to town. Can be alot of them at times.
Come to think of it, that Oliver grill has to be from the 30's or 40's because of the chromed center section. In the 50's they were one piece and the center was painted yellow with the main section being green.Duane S

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
