    How so I take the pulley off of my alternator???

     



    ....Hi All, do alternators have right or left hand threads on the big bolt on the front that holds the pulley on??? And how do you get the pulley off??? It's REALLY tight!!! Thanks, Bill

    A thinwall socket and a impact will work good-then use a small puller to pull fan and pulley. I just went through this with mine.

    ....THANKS! yeah I need to purchase an air compressor & some air tools! I must have made 10 trips down to the local auto parts store before I got this straightened out! Bill
