Can We Say Big Block
This is the 1967 Fastback S-CODE i go and pick up in Michigan this friday . Not to bad a shape , quarters need replaced with some other metal im sure . The rarity of finding a big block is the best thing with being a original 4 spd car . I'm not going to restore but build a good driver out of it . NO Eleanor here for sure .
Guy has had it in garage for 20 years so it had a good life . It was running when he shut it off 15 years ago. He said when he was stripping paint of front once in a while it went out for burn outs hence the sag in rear with some broken leaf springs . Specs say they are 320 hp with over 400 fpt

Bobby, did he say that it was a 2bl on there? That is definitely an Autolite carb. But with the rag on top I can't tell if it's a 2100 (2bl) or a 4100 (4bl). Just wondering.
P.S. I got a 63 4100 Autolite from a 390 I'd just give you, It's apart, needs a rebuild kit and (if I remember correct) the front jets. Hasn't been on a car for over 17 years.Last edited by Oldf100fordman; 08-20-2007 at 09:25 PM.

right its a 2 on there he has the original 4 brl intake . Previous owner changed it out along with the trans he blew the 4 spd and replaced it with a 3 spd. I placed a wanted add on craigs list and have a couple good calls on dated 4spd trans for it .
Let me know shipping ill get a money order out to you on carb . Guess i better start a stock for it some day i will get it back to close as i canLast edited by bluestang67; 08-20-2007 at 09:31 PM.

Okay, will do. I'll ship it parcel post if you PM or E-mail me and addee. Shouldn't be very expensive since it's aluminum. Let me know in the next week cause I'll be going in for an operation on the 31st of August. I am not really worried about the shipping cost in the long run.Duane S

Bobby,
I dug the carb out this morning and checked it out. The tag reads: FOMOCO C3AF R
A 2 EC
It's mostly there. Missing the Choke cover, cover retaining ring and it's three screws and missing the accelerator pump actuating rod (the one from throttle to acc pump arm).
It'll need gunking as it's got dust from Rolling Meadows, IL, Bonney Lake, Wa and Anita, Ia on it. Places I've lived since aquiring it in 88.
Found a box the right size with plastic peanuts. Will package it up and mail it either this afternoon or tomorrow.Duane S

Wow nice car!!! And a big block!!! Looks really clean. I used to have a white 67 S code myself. That's the kind of project I was looking for myself last winter. Anything I saw S code fastback Stang was big bucks. Is this a GT or std 390 package? I also had a black std 390 4 sp non GT. The rear leaf was rotted thru the truck floor and had a chunk of wood wedged between the inside wheel well and tailight panel to keep it supported. Fun car tho. Your car is a great find!!

Dave yeppers the sheet metal is cheap so dressing it will be easy . I am like everyone hate body work but i like doing sheet metal.
Ford100 thank you its allmost coming home , i can see rolling meadows on the map .
FFR its a standard 390 package from what i can tell . Just talked with a mustang guy he said there is a Z code also for the 390 lighter cam more a passenger car engine . Hopefully they ordered it s code with no options Either way im pretty stoked this will be first big block car i ever had with a manual trans . The owner did say s and offered to send me the vin# but i said aahh i'll get it soon enough. I'll also do a marti report and get all the specifics

I am not one to brag on the blue oval very often but I know a great find when I see one!! Outstanding score Bluestang, you'll have a hell of a hot rod when that one is done!"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Did find on a stang site they had a X code that was experimental 390 2 brl cars only a few made in 67 and 68 . What if this is one WOW rarity all over . But it could be a trans plant but im still stoked . Cant wait till its on the trailer friday .
Thank you Roger. .
