    Cars shows in the south?

I need some help. Are there are good car shows in either North or South Carolina, Eastern Tenn, Northern GA in the next 4 weeks? I need to take photos of cars with cool paint. I went up to the NSRA show today in Richmond and there were some very cool cars there, but nothing like the numbers and variety that shows up for a GoodGuys Show.
I got some good photos but not nearly enough ro really what I need.
I think I remember a bog show that happens in Sept in Eastern TN.
I went to a few local shows last weekend, and shot a couple of cars with nice paint, but I need to take atleast several more hundred.
    Thanks!

Hey bud, check out Pigeon Forge Sept. 12-15. They are having the great fall rod run, every parking lot up there will be packed with tons of muscle car and street rods. I go every year and spend hours walking up and down the parkway looking at cars, the only down side is traffic is a bear. You move faster on foot those days.

Yes I did. That Merc was just beautiful. I had already picked the main image for the chapter on car colors, and it was a 51 Merc painted with a wild purple basecoat.
But I might just have to use the green merc. Either way, it will definately make the book, as there will be a whole chapter devoted to cars and trucks with no artwork, but with just beautiful basecoat colors.
I want to be able to list credits for cars that appear in my book, could you email me with your friend's name?
I did get some good photos at Richmond, but not enough cars and trucks with artwork on them. but there were some sweet cars there, like a woody that was simply gorgeous (it will be in the book.) My 22 yr old niece could not believe she was seeing a car that had real wood panels.
It's funny, as she is not really into cars, but she really enjoyed the show and just might go to the next one with me.
I think I'll be going up to the Shades of the past show in Pigeon Forge in 2 weeks. I have to have the book finished by the end of Sept. The hardest part of this book is narrowing down the photos to 650.

His name is Jimmy Cliborne - Halifax, VA., and he has owned the Merc since 1959. My 48 DeSoto was parked beside him, with art work on the trunk, but you probably did not notice it, hardly anyone ever does, especially parked beside the 49 Merc. If you want, I will send you his email address.

Yes, I got pics of your car too. It was "Street Lethal" correct? "Stuff?"

    .
No, it was a 48 DeSoto, Dark Burgundy with a 392 Hemi. On the trunk (driver side) was an Elephant (Hemi), steeping on a Rat (Chevy), with the caption, "Rat Killer".
I understand, not a striking car, just one of the bunch..
