    37 chevy pickup fenders ???

does anyone know if the front fenders on a 37 chevy coupe would work as patch panels on a 37 chevy pickup . the pick ups front fenders are hard to find unless i go fiberglass and i would rather keep the steel ones , but i have found a few 37 coupe front fenders that have bad bottoms but the tops are good and thats what i need.. anyone ever tried this? or know anyone who might know before i spend the dough on something that might not work..

You can make a card board template for contours and match it up to the other fenders. . With this and some massaging you can probably get a perfect repair done . Seen some pics just recently where on a fender simular to those he had about 6 patches in the front to rebuild it . When he was finished with the grinding and sanding the fender looked great . This is where experience on a English wheel and a bead roller would be great . Something i've wanted to do for a long time.
