S10 4x4 frame width?
What is the frame width on a S10 4x4? If I go thru with buying an S10 for a project, I'm going to buy a 4X4, that I can drive thru the Winter, when I'm ready to mod, remove all front end parts and then install a Speedway str8 axle.but the Speedway str8 axle is 48" eye to eye, and I need to make shure it's gonna fit w/ the S10 frame.
It's the gasser type str8 axle I'm talking about, not a transverse monoleaf. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Why a straight axle. Just get the front subframe from a 2 wheel drive at the junk yard and bolt it up.Friends dont let friends drive fords!
