New Pictures of the Thames ("Timmy")

Timmy's wheels and tires have been mounted, so now we can check for clearances and see if adjustments need to be made before the body is permanently attached to the new chassis ............... SURPRISE ............. everything seems to line up properly ............. it looks like the new chassis fits exactly to the measurements we provided ............. my hat is off to Fatman Fabrications

The new chassis will bring the nose up a couple of inches (the engine and transmission are in place, so their weight is on the front end), and that will improve forward vision tremendously ............ tires and wheels sit beautifully centered in the wheelwells, and the width is perfect ............ the rears stick out one tread width and the fronts ride just inside the wheel well lip with no turining problems at all ............... you don't know how happy and relieved we all are

Vance can now complete the new roof insert, install the new interior roof braces, and then start work on fabricating the new firewall, rear panel, and floor .............. plus, now I have more things to get .............. need to order the new fuel cell (15 gallon aluminum with baffles and foam), shorty steering column, pedals and gauges (mechanical for greater accuracy), and chrome plated and sprung 44" long wheelie bars .............. once the body is permanently attached we will be getting measurements for the new custom four row aluminum radiator

Things are beginning to get rolling again .............. -_- -_-
