Mounting stock '32 Headlites on shock mounts.
I have a 32 Hiboy that has had 7" king bee style headlites for the past 7 years. Bob Drake has new '32 repro stock 10" lights on sale so I had to have them. I never thought about the fact that the stock lights mount on the headlite bars on a slight forward angle. My king bee's were mounted on those cute little billet brackets mounted to the shock mount and I really want to keep them. Now the stock lamps won't mount due to the angle of the mount. A lot of people must have run into this problem before me.....Anyone have a solution short of adding new headlite stands?
Thanks

Trim the hole in the base of the headlamp so you get more travel. Or you can mill the mounting point on the face of the aluminum bracket, slightly oval the hole, and in that rotate the bracket forward.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
