    Mopar 440 swap

What would be the smallest truck car that you think a 440 would go into without major flame wrench action.>?

You can always put any engine into any body with enough work. The 440 would be a bolt in any D100 truck from the mid 60 to thru the 80s'.

Usually the 60-70s SWB dodge trucks don't bring too much money and parts are readily available.

A good sourse for mid 70-mid 80's swap stuff is

    www.bouchillonperformance.com

I'm doing a 76 SWB Step Side with a 440 right now. You can pretty much go as cheap or as pricey as you want.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Well I just got this into my 97 S-10, so I think I'd like to find a home for my 440 next, but a-body and b -body cars are priced rediculous. So I kinda got interested in the small trucks. The have a great wt to hp ratio. I went to a mopar muscle site and kinda got the idea that the dakota was a little small for the 440 but was a great candidate for the 360. But there isn't that much difference is there.? I'll have to go to engine dimension.com or something and find out. Any ideas let me know.

318/ 360's are factory in some Dakota's, why not go a step above stock and put
the 440 in there. I'v seen 383/ 440's in Dakota's anyway so it's not out of reach
