Lotta scams in the restoration business. I know a shop here that redid a Shelby for a quy who paid some "restoration shop" big bucks to do it originally. They found that the subframes had rusted out sections repaired by putting duct tape over them, then undercoating everything to cover it up. Also had rags stuffed in the quarter panels and thick bondo over that. Glad I don't have the financial means to have others do this kind of stuff for me.
Whenever I would see Unique Performance featured on some show something just didn't sit right with me. Not sure if it was the look of the Principles or what, but something seemed amiss. Wonder how Foose is taking this situation as he was in bed with them?

Sounds like Motorex.. They imported a bunch of Nissan Skylines.. They had the r33 crash tested and cleared for US road use.. Then they started forgeing all importing papers for the r34 and r32 as a r33 .. After ripping numerous people off and the feds taking a look the place has been shut down and the owner is in prison.. But also now its extremely hard to import and actually make a Skyline legal.. Theres so many loop holes and fraudulent cars out there its kind of pointless to even try to buy a lega one.

Nah, they have no remorse, nor any conscience. Plus they're smart enough not to do any business with a known or suspected mobster. They live longer that way.Bob
