Update on my rod
Well I have finally made a decision with my hotrod, I was given a 1980 buick for free, so I am going to strip the body off, Cut down the front end of the frame to shorten it a little, Widen my body a little (car body mine is wide enough right now). And put it on that frame with the V6 engine thats in the buick for now. Figure I would get it on the road this summer and after my 3rd child is born in 9 months start saving up to build my own frame and get a little more horse power under the car.
I know to most this may not sound like a good idea, but I am getting really antsy to get behind the wheel of this car and this is a good way for now, Figure with the help of some of the inmates at work that build cattle gates all day I should have it on the road this summer. Their boss has already said they could work on it on the weekends if I wanted them too, most of these guys worked on cars, frames or similar on the outside. and are some of the best welders I have seen in a long time.
So if anyone has any ideas about the frame or ideas what to change around, I would appreciate it. The car is a Le Sabre I believe.
And thanks for all the help and ideas in the past.
And have a safe and merry Christmas and a happy New Year and hope to see everyone here next year.
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
