one more tidbit for ya to chew on:
there never seems to be an extra pair of hands when you need one. I've always used a floor jack to help roll the engine / trans assembly into place.
it takes a few minutes... push the hoist in, lower the jack some, push the hoist in some more till the tailstock is past the crossmember, reposition the jack on the tail stock end on the other side of the crossmember, one final push ... then it's all in place..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
