If it's going to be nothing but a cop magnet, why bother???? A cowl induction scoop or a ram air type scoop will do as good or better a job getting cold air to the carb... Running something borderline legal or just flat illegal on the street is like waving a red flag in front of a bull. Anyway, I think I'd be for finding out before the cops gave me a big old fat ticket for it!!!!!

I agree 100%. That's why I'd only run a factory hood and a nice, quiet muffler on my daily driver. I've given enough money to the state of PA

So the question becomes what about blowers???
I think cars with video and dvd running would be far worse then a nice cool blower or tall hood scope jumping up from the hood. I mean after all the driver is at least looking in the right direction .
Just one other on this, can not see idea, what about jacked up equipment, those boys can not see the ground 10 ft in front of em, could be more, run over a vw and never know it except for a minor bump.
I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

I tried googling Michigan Vehicle laws for you and only found things like lighting and suspension requirements, nothing I could find about body mods.

I think it is like anything else, it all depends on the mood of the cop and the way you are driving. If they see you are not being a squirrel, they generally have bigger fish to fry, but if you are driving recklessly or speeding around, then it becomes a different matter.

I think Michigan is a fairly liberal State from what I have seen from magazine cars from that State.........and street rodding/hot rodding is pretty big up there too.
