I hold with our buddy "Signshop" and his simple yet attractive logo suggestion.
An appealing aspect of CHR is the very broad variety of interests expressed by the people who make their presence known on this forum. Any day you log in you may find drag racing enthusiasts, radical custom lovers, street rodders and rat rodders, model car experts, guys whose sole interest is engines, and on and on and on. The list could be a yard long.
We have an extremely helpful and knowledgeable crew of contributors. It would be a pretty rare and off-beat car question that didn't get a qualified "been there done that" answer.
What I'm trying to get around to saying is that we don't need a logo that suggests that we are limited to any particular area of automotive interest. Not a reproduction '32 club or a Chevy club or a strictly street machine club or drag racer's club, or whatever.
If somebody is a car person, well, COME ON IN! Glad to see you!
Signshop's presentation attracts attention without giving the impression that we are in bed with anybody.
I like it.

Maybe I should have said "in cahoots".
By the way, what is this reference to "size" in the quote?
Ah, Bill, ........ Am I kicked off the forum?

QUOTE=Bob Parmenter]HEAVEN FORBID!!!! I'm not THAT old yet!!!
What what I was referring to was that gibberish that comes after "QUOTE["
when you quote from a posting....... It says ".
Now, That's got me bothered!

red text, size 5 font, html code! No inference to Uncle Bob, I hope!
Brent lets set a date with a few days for any stragglers to get in a design, then go from there. I suggest you pick your top three choices and then put it to CHR's to vote for their favorite!Last edited by stovens; 02-05-2008 at 11:33 AM.

Just for clarification, the designs I have posted are only really examples of the style that these banners or logos, or whatever they are, could be done in. The pictures I have used have come from stock photos website, and it just so happened that the best, high quality ones that suited what I had in mind for a particular design, were mostly of the roadsters. However, I did make the '55 Chev one, and the Woody one, just to show that any car can fit in there fine.
So I have created one last design, featuring many cars. I have taken the woody and the '55 Chev from before, and put a coupe in there, as well as a Mustang (though I think a Camaro would be preferable to be honest, represents muscle cars better in my opinion). But again, any car coudl go in there, it's just a matter of finding the pictures to suit.
Just a warning, it's a little bit larger this time.

I was almost done with my design and the Nurses here at the home took my crayons away. But some of the great ones you guys have posted gave me an idea. Since the name is sort of like a nightclub, (you know, CLUB HOT ROD), what about sort of a diner motif with cars sitting around outside and a marque that reads CLUB HOT ROD??
All the ones that have been posted so far are terrific though.

I have to admit I like the original logo, but with this saying,
We have a local hardware chain, with "If we don't have it, then you don't need it", slogan, funny enough they don't sell condems!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
