Today got the accelerator in and hooked up. Carpet all done and the console is about ready to be covered.
Man I'm getting all excited. Won't be to much longer before I start making test runs.

Signman, Very nice shots of everything. I did the same w/the firewall in my 48 Plym, but I had to weld and tack everything. No bender or brake! But I like how it turned out. Keep up that head of steam and the progress will be happening. I'm in the same boat, but am settling for under construction class this year. Hopefully mine will be out of the garage in a week or two.
Thanx for sharing Bryan

Hey Signman, where did you get your doorpanels?

We made those. I said we, but Dad did those while I was at work.
They are one of the reasons I think of my car as a Rat Rod. They are made of aluminum salvaged from a rolled enclosed trailer, landau top foam, armrests cut from a 2x10 and flat black vinyl and look very cool if I say so myself.

Very cool, indeed. I'd have swore they were manufactured. Maybe I'll take a shot at some myself.

Thanks Signshop.
Two steps forward and three backward this weekend. I think every little thing I did this weekend had to be done twice. AAAAAAAAAAArrgh.

It's been a month since you posed the question but hopefully you left the front end low. It looks great in the pics!
Any more pics of how you made & attached the panel that runs under the dash for AC vents?
Really nice car!

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
