Thank you for all your opinions, It's pretty easy to pull the tank out of this thing so I guess I will leave it and if it looks funny I can always paint it.
Uncle Bob, I could of made the inner hood and side panels out of polished stainless Then you would need sun glasses to look at my engine compartment

Great minds think alike, I guess!

What is cool about your car, Ken is all the one-off pieces that hold it all together. Interesting stuff for sure.

ted- thanks for the tip, but when you have a grandson with a DS, game boy, and a ipod I was asked to make sure there was a charger in the car

I thought I would show how my steering column is mounted. First there is a plate that I bolt to the firewall, this plate is bored to accept a oil impregnated brass bushing that the steering shat goes threw. I didn't want to see the universal joint or wiring for the turn signals so I built this cover with this tube that sits at the bottom with the wiring in it. Now everything is behind the toe panel.

Neat plates for the hinges Ken, going to clean it up very nicely. Really do like the stance on the car, and already the attention to detail during the build becomes very obvious.... Definitely not the run of the mill 1-800-Hot-Rods build!!!! Heck, almost makes me like Deuces again!!!!

I know exactly where you're at on that, Ken!!!! Work all night and wind up 2 days behind where you were when you started!!!! Friend of mine has a sign in his shop, sez Everyday building Hot Rods is FUN, somedays are just a lot more fun then others!!!!!! Seems the first 100 hours on a project are sooooooo easy, the good ideas just keep coming, work goes smoothly, things look great..... then the "middle hours" on it are the drudgery stuff and seem to drag on and on and on, and the last of a build are spent second guessing yourself and endless "would of, could of, should of" sessions with yourself, then the final of a project is "just wish this ******* thing was done so I could do something else".........

and we just keep doing it!!!!!
