Thank you for all your opinions, It's pretty easy to pull the tank out of this thing so I guess I will leave it and if it looks funny I can always paint it.
Uncle Bob, I could of made the inner hood and side panels out of polished stainlessThen you would need sun glasses to look at my engine compartment

Have'nt check this thread out for some time. That thing is beautiful, and
the workmanship hard to believe. Nice work Ken. Spoke to you for
a second at the OC cruise.

Great minds think alike, I guess!
What is cool about your car, Ken is all the one-off pieces that hold it all together. Interesting stuff for sure.

ted- thanks for the tip, but when you have a grandson with a DS, game boy, and a ipod I was asked to make sure there was a charger in the car
Mike52-You really do read my posts

I thought I would show how my steering column is mounted. First there is a plate that I bolt to the firewall, this plate is bored to accept a oil impregnated brass bushing that the steering shat goes threw. I didn't want to see the universal joint or wiring for the turn signals so I built this cover with this tube that sits at the bottom with the wiring in it. Now everything is behind the toe panel.

Neat plates for the hinges Ken, going to clean it up very nicely. Really do like the stance on the car, and already the attention to detail during the build becomes very obvious.... Definitely not the run of the mill 1-800-Hot-Rods build!!!! Heck, almost makes me like Deuces again!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
