BradC-Thanks, these kids are so darn smart.
nutbush-Thank you, it only took 3 years
sgo70-I agree the time it takes for this part of the build is incredible. There are parts of mine that I'm not happy with, so when it gets torn down for paint I will re do it. thanks for you compliments.
Hotrod46- thanks, I have to admit I create a lot of extra work for myself sometimes.
Evolvo- Thanks, it might be a good idea, this will all be torn out when it goes to paint.
Tom- Yes, it all comes apart that why It's done the way it is. It really comes apart pretty easily.
STREETWORKZ-Your welcome, I wouldn't want to be miserable on bad days alone, thanks all of you.
I drove it to work today for the first time. It gets a front and rear alignment
Friday. All is well so far!

Amazing work, it should be the pace car for the Indy 500! When you first showed the chassis I thought it was an Indy car! Sunny day here today so maybe I can get mine running this summer at least to the hoodless, topless stage?

Cooooooooooool !! How did it feel going down the road? I bet it handles great and those horses have to feel really good when you push it a little. What a sophisticated, complicated little Deuce you have created there Ken..........I love it.

Must have been a banner day - Ken took his to work today and I moved mine under its own power for the first time (even with it puking water from a bad hose connection)

Ken, Your build continues to amaze me. The quality and innovation are something you can really be proud of. I bet the feel driving is like the credit card commercial says: "Priceless"
I think it is so bitchin' to see the new technology brought into traditional rod territory.
Love it!
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

What a great look the car has, Ken!!!! Stance and "attitude" really get an A in my book!!! Great innovation everywhere, certainly not just another Deuce roadster!!! The finished product is going to be fantastic!!! Anxious to see it with paint!!!! A real one of a kind hot rod, and thanks so much for sharing all the great build ideas, hope you don't mind some of them being copied!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Steve-If you don't get your parts from them this time send everything to me and I will go over there and get what you need, this is crazy to have to go threw what you are going threw. I'm going to drive it for a while, at least 500 miles. I'm going to take it to the Good Guys show in 2 weeks at Del Mar. Then I probably will take it apart. It will take about 3 months for the paint and upholstery and all the detailing I want to do.
Fatnlo- The grill shell insert is a Dan Fink. I use there stuff on all the stock height cars. great quality.
Pat- Yes, this thing exceeded my expectations, I'm very proud of it. If you rode in it and closed your eyes you would not know it was a '32 roadster. the ride quality is superb. I'm really glad I chose the parts I did.
Dave- That is so nice of you, thank you . Copy away, although I hope you improve on my ideas.
There is something about the paint job that I haven't mentioned, I will show it when we get that far.
I want to thank all of you that have written such nice comments.

Ken, I'm sure that can I speak for many others here, I want to thank YOU for sharing with us your innovative ideas, superb execution of those ideas, and the many pics and explanations along the way. It has been a pleasure to follow this build project from your first post. Many times, I couldn't wait to see your latest posts to see what you've cooked up next, now I'm anxious to see what you've got up your sleeve with the paint scheme. Thanks for the ride along!!

Yep, it's cars like this that make us realize there is a whole nuther level of rod builder out there. I look at the handmade one off parts and the whole car and marvel at how intricate it is. Very nice to see one like this come together, and the nice thing is that Ken always has another one in the wings so we can get our fix without any interuptions.

Yeah! What Don said!.. It took me 3 years to build my coupe and it's nowhere near the complexity and innovative level of that roadster. The only other comment I can make... WOW!Jim

Thank you, if it weren't for this forum I don't think it would be as far along as it is. I think this forum made me do a better job, because you all were watching. When you expose yourself like this, I think it made me just want to do a better job. It's far from perfect, in retrospect there are things i wish were better, but changing things now would involve scraping way to much. But, I do promise my next car will be better.
Finally got the headlights mounted. They are bolted to the upper control arm mount, so there is no adjustment, they had to be straight. The mounts are welded into the bucket. I really wanted them to be lower, but it just wasn't possible without compromising there location. So as my wife told me, "it is what it is" Amen

Amen Ken!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
