Ken,
You get things done faster than I but I see about a year's worth of work there to be ready for the GNRS next year. No need to hurry now. Just enjoy the build and detail it to perfection. The interior is an amazing design.

moter-thanks, it's coming together, I hope to drive it sat.
39Deluxe-You are probably right but I hope not.
I Had a set of my motor mounts made out of stainless, then polished them before I welded them together. I use stainless material whenever there are a lot of angels in the parts. I've found if you have them chromed there will be a lot of flashing in the corners and it doesn't look to good. This way the parts come out very clean, you do have to do a Little touch up after welding. the motor is all out back together and ready to start, here are a few shots. the rolled pan is also finished mounted. I have a little more sheet metal work to do on the body line where it meets the frame. that gap will be just like any other gap ON the car.
I was reading J.Robinson's post on his car and he hit the nail on the head, he was talking about doing all this work and at the end of the day didn't look like he got anything done. That's how I feel these days It looks funny without a upper radiator hose.

Ken, I was wondering today about the progress of this car, you haven't posted anything in a while, thanks for the update, it's always nice to see what you've done next. Are you a little nervous about the first test drive, I would be, I don't think I could resist the urge to nail it a few times.........LOL Hope everything goes well this Saturday. Let us now.

Two hours... it took me to read this entire thread... Absolutely the best thread I've ever seen... Ken, you clearly have a gift... I'm struggling to find words that can adequately express how impressive your concepts, ingenuity, execution, and fabrication skills are... I honestly feel privileged to have been able to experience through your willingness to share with the rest of us the level of detail for all to benefit from... Thank you for sharing!!!
I think Ben & Jerry should name an Ice Cream for you too... they should call it "Simply Perfection"
I decided to edit this message to explain the ice cream comment as I got a couple of emails asking me what the ??? So here it is... Ben & Jerry's for the month of January has renamed it butter pecan to "Yes Pecan!" ice cream in honor of Obama theme, 'Yes, We Can'Last edited by 25T_Bucket; 01-10-2009 at 01:06 AM. Mike-Yes I'm behind schedule again, I didn't get everything done before I left on vacation. I left cookies and milk out but the fairy's didn't do anything for me
Dave- We went to fire it today but I think my ECM is burnt up I have a computer guy coming over in the morning to check it. He asked me if I have been welding on the car with it mounted, I have, but it isn't plugged in. So I don't know, I'll know tomorrow.
25Tbucket-Thank you for the nice comments, I'm glad you like it. I will like it better if it starts tomorrow
Don Jr.-Thank you Don.
Since it won't start I decided to get the trunk sheet metal in. This will be held in place with the steel upholstery clips and the covers for the access panels will be held in place with Velcro. I can hide some small stuff inside of those.

I like the side panels in metal instead of the cardboard stuff..... They'll keep their shape a whole lot better. More great work, Ken!!! Congrats!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
