I will still maintain that you do not NEED 500 HP to go in the mid 12s either.
Here are some calculators that reflect weight and HP to validate that-
ET-MPH-HP Calculator
Drag Performance Calculator
HP/ET Calculator
TCI - TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Racing Calculators
Before you dismiss that- here are some real world mild Novas that run mid 12 and none have 500HP.

1972 Chevrolet Nova 1/4 mile Drag Racing timeslip specs 0-60 - DragTimes.com using a ZZ4 w/ 355HP
1970 Chevrolet Nova 2 Door 1/4 mile trap speeds 0-60 - DragTimes.com another mild 355
1971 Chevrolet Nova ss 1/4 mile trap speeds 0-60 - DragTimes.com a 400 on pump gasThere is no substitute for cubic inches

with 3500 lbs? probably around 400 horse maybe less,
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
